4. To open the I/O card lock, push the blue tab, flip it back, then open the hinge forward. 5. Remove expansion slot covers as necessary. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. Non-hot-plug expansion board CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all expansion slots have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
