accounts modify Description of Command Function Modifies an existing account. Command Syntax accounts modify [ACCOUNT] [newpassword ] [level {admin|user}] Command Authority Administrator Command Object Requirements ACCOUNT - This required object is a string of an existing account. Command Parameter Requirements • newpassword - This parameter may be modified to create new password for the specified account. The length of password must be greater than 0 and lesser than or equal to 24 characters. It may contain only uppercase/lowercase alphabets, numbers and the following symbols !@#$%^&* Note: The two password entries should match. You cannot modify a password for external users or groups. • level - This parameter may be modified to change the access level for the specified account. Access level may only be modified by a user with admin privileges. Access levels can be changed for local users, and external users, or external groups. Requirements for Command Execution • The command entry must conform to the command syntax. • The account object in the command entry must be an existing account. • A user with 'user' permission may only change their own password. • A user with 'admin' permissions may change the password or level of any user or group. Successful Command Output Upon successful completion of the command, the following is displayed: account ACCOUNT modified, where ACCOUNT is the string labeling the account to be modified. Command Operation during Abnormal Conditions • If any of the command elements (accounts, modify) is misspelled, error Element: command not found is displayed. • If the command does not conform to the required syntax the following is displayed: Command Failed - the command does not conform to the required syntax, SYNTAX where SYNTAX is the command syntax as described under Command Syntax in this section. • If the password does not meet the defined requirements, the following is displayed: Command Failed - The password must be 1 character in length minimum and 24 characters in length maximum and can only contain upper, lower case letters, numbers and the following symbols • If the account label included in the command does not match an existing account, the following is displayed: No such D2D User: ACCOUNT 16 Alphabetical List of Commands and Details

Description of Command Function
Modifies an existing account.
Command Syntax
accounts modify [ACCOUNT] [newpassword <password> <password>] [level
