Bonding mode Description Default Bonding Mode for: Mode 1 (Active/Backup) Simple bonding mode that allows network traffic via one active Templates 1, 3, 4, and 5 port only. If the active network fails then traffic moves to the backup port. Mode 4 (IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic Link Aggregation) LACP bonding mode that requires a special external switch configuration.
