Introduction Detailed hp rp7405/rp7410 Description Cell Board The cell board contains the processors, main memory, and the cell controller (CC) ASIC that interfaces the processors and memory to the off-board I/O. Shown in Figure 1-4 is the CC. This is the heart of the cell board. The CC provides a crossbar connection, which allows communication with other cell boards in the system. It connects to the PDH and SINC hardware. Each cell board holds up to 16 DIMMs. There can be one or two cell boards installed in an system. The cell boards have hot-plug capability. Cell Board
The cell board contains the processors, main memory, and the cell controller (CC) ASIC that interfaces the
processors and memory to the off-board I/O. Shown in Figure 1-4 is the CC. This is the heart of the cell board.
The CC provides a crossbar connection, which allows communication with other cell boards in the system. It
