The default options can be recreated, but options added after the installation of an operating system are difficult to recreate and require specialist knowledge of the EFI environment and how the option was constructed in the first place. To avoid potential problems you need to follow some general guidelines: Always ensure that you have a current backup of the EFI boot options. Optionally take a Windows Server 2003 "boot option" backup using the nvrboot.efi utility. Proceed with caution. To delete an option follow the steps below: 1. Deleting a boot option
Deleting boot options should be done with caution. The default options can be
recreated, but options added after the installation of an operating system are
difficult to recreate and require specialist knowledge of the EFI environment and
how the option was constructed in the first place. To avoid potential problems you
need to follow some general guidelines:
