Note: Debian Linux is also available for Itanium 2 platforms, but we will not discuss this Linux distribution because it is not supported by IBM. Red Hat Linux for Itanium Red Hat is a major Linux distributor and has two products for the Itanium processors: Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 3.0, the replacement for Red Hat AS 2.1 Both products support Itanium 2 platforms, and we made our tests with both also.
