12 SET MODE Display DV RX Backlight (Default: ON) [MENU] > SET > Display > DV RX Backlight Turns the DV RX Backlight function ON or OFF. In the DV mode, this function turns ON the backlight while displaying the calling station's call sign or a received message. •• OFF: Turns OFF the function. •• ON: The backlight automatically lights when displaying the calling station's call sign or a received message. The backlight stays ON while the call sign or message is scrolling. NOTE: When you set this item to "ON," set "Backlight" to "Auto" or "Auto (DC IN:ON)." TX Call Sign (Default: Your Call Sign) [MENU] > SET > Display > TX Call Sign Selects whether or not to display the My or Your call sign while transmitting. •• OFF: Turns OFF the function. •• Your Call Sign: Displays and scrolls the call sign of the target station. •• My Call Sign: Displays and scrolls your own call sign. LLWhen "Your Call Sign" is selected, and if the call sign and name of the caller station is entered in your memory, the name is displayed after the call sign, in any DV mode except when using the DR function. Scroll Speed (Default: Fast) [MENU] > SET > Display > Scroll Speed Sets the scrolling speed of the message, call sign, or other text, that are displayed on the screen to "Slow" or "Fast." Opening Message (Default: ON) [MENU] > SET > Display > Opening Message Selects whether or not to display the opening message at power ON. When you set this item to "ON," Icom logo, MY call sign, and the model are displayed. Single Band Display (Default: Date) [MENU] > SET > Display > Single Band Display Selects to display the date or GPS information at the bottom of the Single band display. •• Date: Displays the date. •• GPS Information: Displays the GPS information. Latitude/Longitude (Default: dddº mm.mm′) [MENU] > SET > Display > Display Unit > Latitude/Longitude Selects the format to display the position data. Altitude/Distance (Default: ft/mi) [MENU] > SET > Display > Display Unit > Altitude/Distance Selects the format to display the distance and elevation. LLThe default value may differ, depending on the transceiver version. Speed (Default: mph) [MENU] > SET > Display > Display Unit > Speed Selects the format to display the speed. LLThe default value may differ, depending on the transceiver version. Temperature (Default: ºF) [MENU] > SET > Display > Display Unit > Temperature Selects the format to display the temperature. Barometric (Default: inHg) [MENU] > SET > Display > Display Unit > Barometric Selects the format to display the barometric pressure. LLThe default value may differ, depending on the transceiver version. Voltage (Power ON) (Default: ON) [MENU] > SET > Display > Voltage (Power ON) Selects whether or not to display the voltage of the battery or external DC power source at power ON. NOTE: When the external DC power source voltage is above 15.6V, "HI Voltage" is displayed. In that case, immediately disconnect the DC power source. 12-27

while the call sign or message is scrolling�
NOTE:
When you set this item to “ON,” set
