Removing a Slimline Optical Drive 1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See "Safety Information" on page iii. 2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable. 3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Server System Cover" on page 30. 4. If it is installed, remove the bezel. For instructions, see "Removing the Front Bezel" on page 28. 5. Disconnect the optical drive power and data cables. See letters "A" and "B" in Figure 44. 6. Remove the screw that holds the optical drive bracket to the server chassis. See letter "C" in Figure 44. Save this screw. You will reinstall it later. 7. Removing a Slimline Optical Drive
1.

3.
Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see

5.
Disconnect the optical drive power and data cables. See letters “A” and “B” in

6.
