Program recording (CD =MD / CD =TAPE) Contents Convenient Recording Methods 33 MDX-F1 (EN) Desired CD tracks can be programmed in the desired sequence and recorded onto an MD or tape. Simultaneous recording onto MD and TAPE is not available. Recording preparation is required. •º (Be sure to put the MD recorder and cassette deck in stop mode.) 1 Program the desired sequence of CD tracks. CD =MD Perform steps 1 and 2 of the procedure in "Listening in the desired sequence (Program playback)". % CD =TAPE Perform steps 1 and 2 of the procedure in "Listening in the desired sequence (Program playback)". % ÷ When the PGM key is pressed to cancel the edited contents, the entire editing contents will be erased. ÷ Tracks programmed beyond the available MD or tape recording time will be interrupted in the middle. 2 Start recording. MD O.T.E. TAPE O.T.E. ÷ Recording of the programmed tracks in the programmed order starts. ÷ When starting recording from the remote control unit, make sure not to mistake the MD O.T.E. key and TAPE O.T.E. key. ÷ Similar recording is also possible from the main unit by selecting "REC MODE" after pressing the MENU key. Operation To interrupt a recording 7 STOP (Recording and playback will be stopped.) At the end of the recording CD player : Stop. MD recorder : Stop is executed and "WRITING" is displayed. Cassette deck : Stop is executed after an unre- corded portion of about 4 sec. has been produced. The "WRITING" display indicates that the recorded and edited data are written in the MD. Be careful not to apply impact to the unit during it. If the power cord is unplugged before completion of "WRITING", the recorded and/or edited data may be lost.
