Chapter 1 Basic Setup This chapter includes instructions for custom installation of your Wireless-N 150 USB Adapter WNA1000 and basic configuration. There are two methods that you can use to install the wirelessN USB adapter: • Express Installation uses the NETGEAR Smart Wizard configures your adapter automatically. This method is explained in the NETGEAR Wireless-N 150 USB Adapter WNA1000 Installation Guide. • InstallationwithCustomSetupletsyouspecifywherethesoftwareisinstalled,andselect either the NETGEAR Smart Wizard or the Windows Utility to configure your wireless-N USB adapter. See "Installation with Custom Setup" on page 1-3. NETGEAR strongly recommends that you implement wireless security to protect your network from unauthorized access. See Chapter 2, "Network Connections and Wireless Security."
