Chapter 6 Combining and Using Pioneer AV Equipment DAB status indications Indicator EXTRA TEXT DAB Status The currently received service has a secondary service component. The currently received service has a dynamic label. When DAB reception is possible. ■How to listen to DAB 1 Press SOURCE button to select the DAB tuner. 2 Use VOL dial to adjust the sound level. Rotate to increase or decrease the volume. 3 Press BAND/ESC button to select a band. Press BAND/ESC button until the desired band is displayed, DAB1, DAB2, DAB3. 4 Press 2 or 3 to select a service. The service move up or down step by step. 5 Press and hold 2 or 3 for one second and release to select an ensemble. ■Switching the display 1 Press DISP button to select the desired display. Press DISP button repeatedly to switch between the following displays: Service Label and Preset channel list - Service Label and Service Component Label - Service Label and Dynamic Label - Service Label and Ensemble Label - Service Label and PTY Label. ➲ With a service component that has no service component label or dynamic label, neither is displayed when you switch to service component label and dynamic label. ■Using dynamic label Dynamic label provides character information concerning the service component you're currently listening to. You can scroll the displayed information. ➲ The tuner automatically memorizes the three latest dynamic label received, replacing text from the least recent reception with new text when it is received. Displaying dynamic label 1 Press PAUSE on the Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-P6400CD or AVH-P6400) to display dynamic label. ➲ Press the PAUSE on the Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-P6400CD or AVH-P6400) once more, or press the BAND/ESC button, and the dynamic label mode is canceled. ➲ When no dynamic label is currently being received, "NO TEXT" is displayed. 2 Press 2 or 3 to recall the three most recent dynamic label. ➲ Pressing 2 or 3 switches between the current and the three dynamic label data dis- plays. ➲ If there is no dynamic label data in memory the display will not change. 133
