ASYNCHRONOUS MODE PROCEDURES The Quick Dial Keys in Terminal Mode Quick Dial keys are used to enter text for the RTI, TTI and the labels which appear on lists and reports. In the SFX2000M, the User Function key F1 has two uses. (1) It can be used to print the Journal in all modes except a Terminal Mode. See page 28. (2) It is used as a shift key for the Quick Dial keys when you are in a Terminal Mode, or using Functions 32 and 37 to program messages for it. The shifted Quick Dial keys are used to program special characters and symbols for the switch messages. For example, to enter a wakeup symbol, ↵ and a backslash / • Press User Function key F1. All the Quick Dial keys are now shifted to another register. • Press Quick Dial 26. The symbol ↵ will appear in the character display. Press Quick Dial 15. The symbol / will appear in the display. • Press F1 again to restore the Quick Dial keys. The Quick Dial Keys in Terminal Mode
Quick Dial keys are used to enter text for the RTI, TTI and the labels which
appear on lists and reports. In the SFX2000M, the User Function key F1 has
two uses
. (1) It can be used to print the Journal in all modes
except
a
Terminal Mode.

(2) It is used as a shift key for the Quick Dial
keys when you are in a
Terminal Mode, or using Functions 32 and 37 to
program messages for it. The shifted Quick Dial keys are used to program
special characters and symbols for the switch messages.
For example, to enter a wakeup symbol,
and

Press Quick Dial
