APPENDIX Entering Characters Asynchronous Terminal Mode • Enter up to 40 characters (letters, numbers symbols and spaces). • Press F1 to shift the Quick Dial keys. Use the shifted Quick Dial keys to enter symbols (see page 16). • Use the keypad to enter numbers. • Press Pause to enter five-second pauses, , for switch responses. • Press Y or Z to move the cursor. • Press Clear to clear a character. • Press No to clear all characters. • Press F1 to restore the original Quick Dial characters. All others • The character is inserted at the blinking cursor. The cursor will move to the right. • Press Y or Z to move the cursor. • Press Clear to clear the character at the cursor. The text will shift to the left. • Press No to clear all characters. • Enter up to 20 characters (letters, numbers symbols and spaces).
