ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES Storing End Messages as Wild Cards Ref.: FAX2000L Operator's Manual, page 65 A message stored as a wild card can establish a match with an end message that has not been registered with the SFX2000M. Unlike the FAX2000L, the SFX2000M recognizes spaces as part of the wild card. It will compare a complete word. The SFX2000M identifies a complete word by the spaces that precede, surround or follow it. For example, if the message, CONNECTED, is stored as a wild card, a match will occur if the switch's end message is: APR 20 CONNECTED NET CONNECTED OK CONNECTED OK space precedes wild card word spaces surround wild card word space follows wild card word. A match will not occur if the switch's end message is: CONNECT DISCONNECTED OK incomplete word match inexact word match SFX2000M User Guide 51
