ASYNCHRONOUS MODE PROCEDURES Asynchronous Mode Polling Reception (Function 11) For polling reception, the user calls other fax machines and retrieves messages from them. The connection to the other fax machine is made as though for a transmission The connection can be either Point-to-Point or through a switch (Terminal Mode). Function 11 in DI Mode is effective only for asynchronous modes. First, the document you want to receive must be set in the feeder of the fax machine you are calling.
