Repeat steps 3 through 6 to insert as many symbols into your message as desired. Number (123) mode Enter numbers into a text message while in number mode (123). T9 Word text entry mode T9 Word recognizes commonly used words for the numeric sequence of keypresses and inserts the word into your message. It's much faster than the traditional method of text (Abc) and requires only key press per letter the word that your're spelling. Lock mode When you lock the phone using the Lock Mode menu option, restrictions are placed on phone use. You can receive messages and calls, but you cannot make outgoing calls (except for emergency numbers) until you unlock the phone. Lock Mode also restricts access to menus and the volume key. Unlock your phone by following the prompts and entering the lock code. 36 Section 3
