Configuring fax modem and internet connection Note: To configure the internet gate of the SmarThru system, you must enter your e-mail address, SMTP/POP3 server address, POP3 account name and password. Ask your Internet Service Provider or online service provider about the internet gate configuration. 1. After you install the SmarThru software, Windows restarts. Then the Welcome dialogue box appears and allows you to configure the SmarThru system for PC fax and Internet connection. Select the system service you want to use, and click Next. Note: If you select the "I Want SmarThru to receive and send my e-mail", skip to step 6. If you do not select any service, electronic fax and E-mail services of SmarThru will be disabled. 2.
