_ _ _ _C_h_a_p_t_e_r_4 _ ~ Recording The DVR offers you four levels of Video Recording Quality. The choice you make on this screen is used each time you schedule a recording. The recording quality choices available are Best, High (SP), Medium (LP), and Basic (EP). The default is Best. Basic (EP) quality takes up about one-third the space of Best quality, so it gives you about three times the amount of space for programs. You may wish to experiment with different levels and then reset your default. ~ You can also check the Recording ~ Quality screen to see how many hours of programming at different quality levels will fit on the Recorder.
