Never connect an IN to an IN or an OUT to an OUT. ~ Using This Guide ~ Finding your setup connections example This guide provides examples of connecting the SD-H400 Digital Media Server (SDH400) to an existing antenna, cable, or satellite system and other AfV equipment. Choose your setup connections from the examples below: The SD-H400 is not designed to support a heavy load, such as a TV. Your SD-H400 is only capable of supporting the weight of one or two common NY components such as VCRs or NY receivers (provided they have four good, broad, padded feet that distribute of the weight near the comers of the SDH400). Also, avoid stacking your SD-H400 on top of other electronic components-such as VCRs, NY receivers--or the vents of your TV. You use either antenna or cable without a cable box. You may also have a VCR. You use cable and want to watch one channel while recording another. You have either a cable box, a satellite box or both. You have an advanced home entertainment system with several components. You want to enjoy high quality dynamic sound. Setup 1: Connecting to TV and Optional VCR. Setup 1: Watching one channel while recording another (antenna or cable only). Setup 2: Connecting to a cable box and/or satellite box (Refer to Setup 1 for optional VCR). Setup 3: Connecting to an AIV receiver, game console, and VCR. Setup 4: Connecting to Optional Audio Equipment. p. 18 p. 19 p.20 p. 22 p.24 ~ What's next?
