8. ALWAYS inunediately unplug the power cord from its power source and have it serviced by an authorized service representative when: A. Smoke or unusual smell is detected; B. The power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed; C. Liquid has been spilled into the product; D. The product has been exposed to rain or water; E. The product has been dropped or the cabinet damaged. 9. NEVER attempt to disassemble this product for any reason. ALWAYS take it to a qualified service personnel. Failure to follow these warnings may expose you to dangerous high voltages and serious electric shock and/or fire hazards. CAUTION 1. NEVER DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF A POLARIZED TYPE PLUG. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider that the other. The wide blade is provided for your safety. If the plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. NEVER use a polarized plug with an extension cord, receptacle or other outlet unless the blades can be inserted completely to prevent blade exposure. 2. NEVER locate power supply cords where they are likely to be walked upon, pinched by other items placed upon or against them. Special attention should be paid to points where cords, plugs and convenience receptacles exit the appliance. 3 . ALWAYS unplug this product from its power source before cleaning. 4. NEVER use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners and ALWAYS use a dry cloth for cleaning. 5. ALWAYS operate this product using the type of power source indicated on the marking label in the Installation Guide. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your home, consult your dealer or local power company. 6. NEVER use attachments/accessories not recommended by the product manufacturer. 7. NEVER overload wall sockets or extension cords. 8. Always avoid moving the product while it is plugged in to avoid accumulated shock and vibration damage to the internal hard disk drive. 9. When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should be always followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons. To reduce the risk of fire, use only recommended telecommunication line cord. Failure to follow these Cautions could create an electric shock and/or fire hazard. VI
