8 Network Settings 8.1 Overview This chapter discusses the MWR102's Network Settings screens. Use these screens to configure your LAN and WAN settings. A Local Area Network (LAN) is a shared communication system to which many computers are attached. A LAN is a computer network limited to the immediate area, usually the same building or floor of a building. A WAN (Wide Area Network) connection is an outside connection to another network or the Internet. It connects your private networks such as a LAN (Local Area Network) and other networks, so that a computer in one location can communicate with computers in other locations. 8.1 Overview
This chapter discusses the MWR102’s
Network Settings
screens. Use these screens to
configure your LAN and WAN settings.
A Local Area Network (LAN) is a shared communication system to which many computers are
attached. A LAN is a computer network limited to the immediate area, usually the same building
or floor of a building.
A WAN (Wide Area Network) connection is an outside connection to another network or the
