To use an Assistant when you first create a document, choose New from the File menu. In the New Document dialog box, select Use Assistant or Stationery. Choose a category from the pop-up menu, and then select an Assistant name from the scrolling list. * Choose Index from the or Help menu and scroll to the entry. Then choose a topic from the list and click Go To Topic.

Using an Assistant
Use an Assistant to lead you step-by-step in creating specific documents,
such as a document for addressing envelopes. Some Assistants are
available when you first create a document, and others are available while
you’re working with a document.
To use an Assistant when you first create a document, choose
New
from the
File menu. In the New Document dialog box, select
Use Assistant or
Stationery
. Choose a category from the pop-up menu, and then select an
Assistant name from the scrolling list.
