ALARM INDICATIONS AT A GLANCE Operator Calls for Printing Function If a recoverable error occurs, the machine indicates an 'operator call' by blinking the Alarm lamp and any of the following lamps. Find the error and take the proper action to correct it. The machine automatically recovers from most errors, but you may need to reset the machine with the panel switch as described below. Blinking Lamp Error Action Paper r£q Alarmr£q Paper jam Clear the paper jam referring to the "PAPER JAMS" section of the On-line user's guide and press the panel switch if the machine does not automatically resume printing. Paper empty Load paper in the machine referring to the On-Line user's guide Chapter 2 and press the panel switch. Misfeed Reinstall the paper and press the panel switch. Toner r£q Toner low Alarmr£q (every 5 seconds) Indicates that the machine has approximately 100 pages of printing left before the toner cartridge is empty. Prepare a new toner cartridge.
