Connecting to an External Monitor or Recorder Connecting to an External Monitor or Recorder When you connect the camera to an external device, be it a monitor (to monitor the recording or for playback) or an external video recorder (for recording), use the terminal on the camera that matches the one you wish to use 152 on the monitor. Then, select the video signal output configuration (A 149). Connection Diagram We recommend that you power the camera from a power outlet using the AC adapter. SDI terminal BNC cables (commercially available) HDMI cable (commercially available) HDMI OUT terminal 3G/HD-SDI inputs External monitor/ digital video recorder HDMI input Using the SDI Terminal The digital signal that is output from the SDI terminal includes the video signal, audio signal (up to 4 channels) and the recording command signal. When using the SDI terminal, you can output various assistance displays (onscreen markers, magnification, onscreen displays) in order to check them also on an external monitor. Selecting the Output Signal Operating modes: 1 Open the [SDI Output] submenu. > [B " System Setup] > [SDI Output] 2 Select the desired option and then press the joystick. Options [2048x1080/1920x1080]: Outputs video with a resolution of 2048x1080 or 1920x1080. [1920x1080]: Outputs 1920x1080 (Full HD) video. When the horizontal resolution of the recording video configuration is 4096 or 2048, the image will be displayed letterboxed.
