Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network Camera Access Point In this mode the camera itself serves as a wireless access point to which other Wi-Fi-enabled devices can connect. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the procedure. 1 Open the connection method selection submenu. > [ ! Network Settings] > [Connection Settings] > select the desired configuration number* > [Edit] * You can save up to 4 network configuration profiles in the camera. Push the joystick up/down to select the configuration number. 2 Select [Camera Access Point] and then press the joystick. 3 To enter the [SSID] (network name), select [Input] and then press the joystick. • Enter the SSID (network name) the camera will use as a Wi-Fi access point using the keyboard screen (A 35). • The network name is needed to connect the network device to the camera. If necessary, write it down. • After entering the network name, select [OK] and then press the joystick. 4 Select the frequency band for the Wi-Fi connection. [5 GHz] or [2.4 GHz] > press the joystick. • For Europe: Because only the 2.4 GHz frequency band is available for Camera Access Point mode, skip to step 5. 5 Select the channel and then press the joystick. • Available channels will be different depending on the wireless connection mode selected in the previous step. 6 Select the encryption method and then press the joystick. • If you selected [Open/No encryption], skip to step 8. If you selected [WPA2-PSK/AES], continue with step 7. 7 Enter the password of the access point. • Enter the desired text using the keyboard screen (A 35). • This encryption key (password) is needed to connect the network device to the camera. If necessary, write it down. 8 Continue with the procedure to configure the IP address assignment (A 163). 163 Configuring the IP Address Settings At this point you need to configure the TCP/IP settings for the camera to be able to connect to a Wi-Fi network. If you need to configure the TCP/IP settings manually, consult the network administrator to obtain the relevant information. 1 Select the method for assigning the IP address: Select [Automatic] or [Manual] and then press the joystick. • If you selected [Automatic], the IP address will be assigned automatically. Continue with the procedure to review and save the configuration (A 164). 2 Enter the IP address. • Push the joystick up/down to select a value for the first field and then press the joystick to move to the next field. After completing the four fields of an address, select [Set] and then press the joystick to confirm the address. 3 Enter the [Subnet Mask] in the same way. • For Camera Access Point connections, the rest of the procedure is not necessary. Continue with the procedure to review and save the configuration (A 164). 4 Enter the [Default Gateway], [Primary DNS Server] and [Secndry DNS Server] using the method described in step 2. • After entering the secondary DNS server, continue with the procedure to review and save the configuration (A 164).

Configuring the IP Address Settings
At this point you need to configure the TCP/IP settings for the camera to be able to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
If you need to configure the TCP/IP settings manually, consult the network administrator to obtain the relevant
information.
1 Select the method for assigning the IP address: Select [Automatic] or [Manual] and then press the
joystick.
If you selected [Automatic], the IP address will be assigned automatically. Continue with the procedure to
review and save the configuration (
