Troubleshooting Recording Media and Accessories Cannot insert the recording media. - The CFast card or SD card you are trying to insert is not facing the correct direction. Make sure it is facing the correct direction when you insert it (A 35). Cannot record 4K clips on the CFast card. - A compatible CFast card must be used (A 35). - Initialize the CFast card (A 38) when you use it with the camcorder for the first time. - The CFast card is full or it already contains the maximum number of clips (999 clips). Delete some clips (A 116) to free some space or replace the CFast card. Cannot record HD clips or photos on the SD card. - A compatible SD card must be used (A 35). - Initialize the SD card using the [Complete Initialization] option (A 38) when you use it with the camcorder for the first time. - The LOCK switch on the SD card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Change the position of the LOCK switch. - The SD card is full or it already contains the maximum number of clips (999 clips). Delete some recordings (A 116) to free some space or replace the recording media. - The folder and file numbers have reached their maximum value. Set [Recording Setup] > [4] (in mode), [2] (in mode) or [1] (in and modes) > [File Numbering] to [Reset] (A 142) and insert a new SD card. - You cannot take a photo in the following cases: • When an external device is connected to the HDMI OUT terminal. • When [Slow & Fast Motion] (A 96) is set to [x1/4] or [x1/2]. • When [Looks] (A 71) is set to [Highlight Priority]. • When the [Camera Setup] > [3] > [Rolling Shutter Reduction] setting is set to [On]. The optional RC-6 Remote Controller will not work. - Set [System Setup] > [3] (in mode) or [2] (in - Replace the battery of the remote controller. mode) > [Wireless Remote Control] to [On]. 149 Connections with External Devices Video noise appears on a nearby TV screen. - When using the camcorder in a room where a TV is located, keep a distance between the AC adapter and the power or antenna cables of the TV. Playback looks fine on the camcorder but there is no image on the external monitor. - The camcorder is not connected correctly to the external monitor. Check the High Speed HDMI cable's connection. - The video input on the external monitor is not set to the video terminal to which you connected the camcorder. Select the correct video input. The camcorder is connected using the supplied High Speed HDMI cable, but there is no picture or sound from the HDTV. - Disconnect the High Speed HDMI cable and then restore the connection or turn the camcorder off and then on again. - When [Camera Setup] > [3] > [Rolling Shutter Reduction] is set to [On] and recording starts, HDMI output will stop. Wi-Fi Functions Cannot connect with an access point. - Wi-Fi networks with a stealth function that do not broadcast their network name (SSID) will not be detected by the camcorder during the Wi-Fi network setup. Perform the setup manually (A 128) or turn off the stealth function of the access point. - Password information is not saved with the camera settings. When you load onto the camcorder menu settings from an SD card, all the encryption keys and passwords in the Wi-Fi settings are reset. Edit the Wi-Fi settings as necessary (A 129). - The wireless signal is not strong enough or there are other devices in the vicinity interfering with the wireless signal.
