Exposure Using the Browser Remote Application After completing the necessary preparations (A 131), you can manually change the exposure from a connected device using the Browser Remote application. In this procedure, depending on the network device, 66 you may need to click the Browser Remote onscreen button instead of touching it. 1 Press [ ]. ቢ • The gray line in the button will turn orange and the camcorder will change to manual exposure. 2 Press the exposure value button and then select the desired exposure adjustment level. • The selected value will be displayed on the Browser Remote screen and applied on the camcorder. ባ Touch Exposure When you use touch exposure, you can additionally use the highlights setting to make sure that an area with highlights you touch is not too bright. Using the highlights setting are the first two steps of the procedure below. If you do not plan to use the setting, start from step 3. 1 Open the [AE Lock (Touch)] submenu. [v Camera Setup] > [1] > [AE Lock (Touch)] [v Camera Setup] 2 Touch [H Highlights] and then touch [X]. 3 Touch [FUNC.] and then touch [Exposure Lock]. • The exposure adjustment screen will appear. [1] [AE Lock (Touch)] 4 Touch a subject that appears inside the frame. • The I mark will flash and the exposure will be adjusted automatically so the area you touched will be correctly exposed. • An adjustment dial will appear on the bottom of the screen. The exposure is locked but you can adjust it using the adjustment dial. [N Normal] 5 Drag your finger left/right along the dial to select the desired value. • You can also push the joystick up/down until the position of the current value is highlighted in orange and then push left/right to adjust the value. • Touching [WFM] will display the waveform monitor (A 83). 6 Touch [X] to lock the exposure at the selected value. • will appear on the left side of the screen. If the exposure was also adjusted, y and the selected adjustment value will also appear. NOTES • Touch exposure is not available while the waveform monitor is displayed. Table of Contents Menus Index
