Colors Bars/Audio Reference Signal Colors Bars/Audio Reference Signal You can have the camcorder generate and record color bars and a 1 kHz audio reference signal. The color bars can be output from the HDMI OUT terminal while the audio reference signal can be output from the HDMI OUT and × (headphone) terminals. 95 Operating modes: Recording Color Bars The camcorder offers 3 types of color bars. For 4K clips, the color bars will be recorded in 4K (3840x2160) but will be output from the HDMI OUT terminal in HD (1920x1080). [3 Recording Setup] [3] 1 Press the MENU button. 2 Open the [Color Bars] submenu. [3 Recording Setup] > [3] > [Color Bars] 3 Select the type of color bars and then touch [X]. [Color Bars] [j Off] • The selected color bars appear on the screen and will be recorded when you press the START/STOP button. • Select [j Off] to turn off the color bars. • Turning the camcorder off or changing the operating mode to playback mode will deactivate the color bars. Recording an Audio Reference Signal The camcorder can output a 1 kHz audio reference signal with the color bars. 1 Press the MENU button. [3 Recording Setup] [3] 2 Open the [1 kHz Tone] submenu. [3 Recording Setup] > [3] > [1 kHz Tone] 3 Select the desired level and then touch [X]. [1 kHz Tone] [j Off] • Available levels are -12 dB, -18 dB and -20 dB. • Select [j Off] to turn off the signal. • The signal is output at the selected level and will be recorded when you press the START/STOP button.
