Zooming You can operate the zoom (10x optical zoom) using the zoom ring on the lens. Operating modes: Turn the zoom ring to zoom in and out. Zooming 73 NOTES • If you turn the zoom ring too quickly, the camcorder may not be able to focus immediately. In such case, the camcorder will focus after you finish turning the ring. • If you set an assignable button to [ Digital Tele-conv.] (A 105), you can press the button to activate the digital tele-converter. Alternatively, if you customize the FUNC. menu to include [ Digital Tele-conv.] (A 104), you can activate the digital tele-converter from the FUNC. menu. The digital tele-converter allows you to digitally increase the focal length of the camcorder by a factor of approx. 2. Zooming
You can operate the zoom (10x optical zoom) using the zoom ring on the lens.
Turn the zoom ring to zoom in and out.
NOTES

If you turn the zoom ring too quickly, the camcorder may not be able to focus immediately. In such case, the
camcorder will focus after you finish turning the ring.

If you set an assignable button to [
Digital Tele-conv.] (

105), you can press the button to activate the
digital tele-converter. Alternatively, if you customize the FUNC. menu to include [
