In such case, turn face detection off. 80 • When the shooting mode is set to N, face detection & tracking will automatically be set to [i On }] and cannot be changed. • In certain cases, faces may not be detected correctly. Typical examples include: - Faces extremely small, large, dark or bright in relation to the overall picture. - Faces that are turned to the side, upside-down, at a diagonal or partially hidden. • Face detection cannot be used in the following cases: - When the shutter speed used is slower than 1/30 (1/24 if the frame rate set to 23.98P or 24.00P). - When the shooting mode is set to ƒ and [ Night Scene], [ Low Light] or [ Fireworks] is selected. - When [Slow & Fast Motion] (A 96) is set to [x1/4]. - In mode, when [Drive Mode] (A 44) is set to [ AF Continuous]. - When the [v Camera Setup] > [3] > [Rolling Shutter Reduction] setting is set to [i On ].
