55 Managing the Projector from a Remote Computer note A plug-in will be available to allow you to manage your projectors in HP OpenView. Check with your dealer or Epson for availability (see page 109). If you're using a network management utility running SNMP, you can configure your network to send trap alerts even without a plug-in (see page 75). This feature is intended for use by network administrators only. Your projector's Easy Management software lets you monitor and control your projector(s) from a remote computer in several ways: ■ Use EMP Monitor to see your projectors' status, switch image sources, and control basic settings. ■ Use the e-mail notification function to receive alerts about possible problems. ■ Use a network management utility running SNMP, such as HP OpenView™ , to manage your facility's equipment from a pre-existing system. To use the Easy Management software to manage your projector(s), first install it as described on page 74. Then connect and configure each projector you want to monitor, so it can be recognized on your network (see page 75). Managing the Projector from

Y
our projector’s Easy Management software lets you monitor and
control your projector(s) from a remote computer in several ways:
Use EMP Monitor to see your projectors’ status, switch image
sources, and control basic settings.
Use the e-mail notification function to receive alerts about
possible problems.
Use a network management utility running SNMP, such as
HP OpenView,
to manage your facility’s equipment from a
pre-existing system.
To use the Easy Management software to manage your projector(s),
first install it as described on page 74. Then connect and configure
each projector you want to monitor, so it can be recognized on your
network (see page 75).
