Cleaning the Air Filter Clean the air filter when you see any of the following messages: The air filter is clogged. Clean or replace the air filter. or Check or Replace the air filter. If it is not cleaned periodically, it can become clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilation. This can cause overheating and damage the projector. Follow these steps: 1. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. 2. Gently turn the projector over and push down on the tabs while opening the air filter cover. Then use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter. note If the air filter has been stained by tobacco smoke, it cannot be cleaned. Replace the filter as described below. 3. When you have finished cleaning the air filter, close the cover and reset the timer as described on page 92. 4. If the dirt is difficult to remove or a filter is broken, replace the filter as described below. Cleaning the Air Filter
Clean the air filter when you see any of the following messages:
The
air filter is clogged. Clean or replace the air filter
. or
Check or
Replace the air filter.
If it is not cleaned periodically, it can become
clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilation. This can cause
overheating and damage the projector.
Follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord.
2.
Gently turn the projector over and push down on the tabs while
opening the air filter cover. Then use a vacuum cleaner to clean
the filter.
3.
When you have finished cleaning the air filter, close the cover and
reset the timer as described on page 92.
4.
If the dirt is difficult to remove or a filter is broken, replace the
filter as described below.
Replacing the Air Filter
Replace the air filter when you see the
Check or Replace the air
filter
message. If it is not replaced, it can become clogged with dust,
preventing proper ventilation. This can cause overheating and damage
the projector.
