Compass Using the Compass

Unit Operation > Compass Page Compass Page The Compass Page provides active guidance with a rotating compass ring that shows your course (heading) while you are moving and a bearing pointer to indicate the current direction to your destination (bearing) relative to the course. The Data Fields at the top of the page provide you with navigation information. The list of data field choices and definitions may be found in the "Appendix." The Compass Ring functions as a magnetic compass when you are stationary (Rino 530 only). When you are moving, the heading is controlled by the GPS receiver (based upon settings customized in the Heading Setup Page). Selectable Data Fields Bearing Pointer Compass Ring NOTE: The Compass on the Rino 530 must be calibrated for the greatest accuracy. Refer to page 36 for information on calibrating the compass. Using the Compass Page The two main components of the Compass Page are the Bearing Pointer and Compass Ring. Compass Page
The Compass Page provides active guidance with a

to the course.
The Data Fields at the top of the page provide you with

The Compass Ring functions as a magnetic compass
when you are stationary (Rino 530 only). When you are

NOTE:
The Compass on the Rino 530 must be cali-
brated for the greatest accuracy. Refer to
