10 While you're printing It takes a few moments for the printing to start, because the printer is receiving information from the computer. During printing, the printer might pause occasionally to receive more information. (Don't worry, it's normal.) If you run out of paper before you're finished The printer prompts you to add more paper. Put the paper in the lower (IN) tray and press Resume . If you want to check the printing progress Double-click the HP Toolbox icon, which appears at the bottom of the screen in the taskbar (Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0) or on the desktop (Windows 3.1x) every time you start a print job. Printing information What If The paper is stuck in the printer First, turn the printer off and click Cancel Printing (if a message appears on your screen). Pull all the jammed or torn paper from the printer. Turn the printer back on, and print the document again. You just get black and shades of gray instead of color Perhaps the color printing is turned off. On the Color tab of the HP print settings dialog box, make sure the Print in Grayscale check box is not selected (does not contain a "").
