Installing Hardware Options, Hot-Pluggable Accessing the DIMMs To access the DIMMs in the server, you must remove the memory cartridge. The Hot Plug RAID Memory cartridge is designed to allow replacing, adding, or upgrading of memory while the system is online. Removing the Memory Cartridge To remove a memory cartridge from the ProLiant DL760 G2 server: 1. Unlock the memory cartridge by rotating the cartridge lock counterclockwise (1) as shown in Figure 5-4. IMPORTANT: If the memory cartridge is not required for continued operation (with at least four other memory cartridges installed, online, and error free), the memory cartridge power LED will go off. If the cartridge is required for continued operation, an audible caution alarm will sound and the memory cartridge attention LED will blink until the cartridge is locked again. 5-8 HP ProLiant DL760 Generation 2 Server User Guide
