Installing Hardware Options, Hot-Pluggable Installing a Hot-Plug SCSI Hard Disk Drive CAUTION: Before adding or removing any hot-plug SCSI drives, consult your operating system instructions. Failure to do so could result in loss of data or damage to equipment. To install a hot-plug SCSI hard drive: 1. Remove the blanking panel in an unused drive bay by pushing the side of the retaining clip inward (1), and then pull the blanking panel outward (2). Figure 5-12: Removing a hard-drive blanking panel 2. Push the release button on the left of the new drive, and rotate the hot-plug drive ejector lever outward to unlock the drive. CAUTION:

To install a hot-plug SCSI hard drive:
1.
Remove the blanking panel in an unused drive bay by pushing the side of the
retaining clip inward (1), and then pull the blanking panel outward (2).
