Troubleshooting Information Table E-1: Diagnosis Steps continued Question Action Question 7: Check the Memory Error and Processor Bus Fault LEDs. Are there are any amber LEDs illuminated when viewed through the processor air intake area of the processor and memory module as shown in Figure E-1? If no, continue to Question 8 If yes, check the following: • If memory was just added remove memory and retry booting the system. If the system boots, memory should be sent back to service • If processors or a processor board was just added, remove and retry booting the system with processor board 1 installed only. Figure E-1: Memory error and processor bus fault LED location Question 8: Did the "Memory Configuration Error Diagnostic" screen, as shown in Figure E-2, appear? If no, memory configuration is adequate to boot the system. An F1 prompt displays for "Memory Configuration Warnings" to inform the user of memory configuration errors that should be corrected.
