Using the MFP menus Menu item Honor DSR Purpose Values and descriptions Determines whether the MFP uses Off* the Data Set Ready (DSR) signal. DSR is one of the handshaking signals for most serial interface On cables. The serial interface uses DSR to distinguish data sent by the computer from data created by electrical noise in the serial cable. This electrical noise can cause stray characters to print. Select On to prevent stray characters from printing. All data received by the serial port is treated as valid data. Only data received while the DSR signal is high is treated as valid. NetWare Use these menu items to view or change the printer NetWare settings. Using the MFP menus
NetWare
Use these menu items to view or change the printer NetWare settings.
Honor DSR
Determines whether the MFP uses
the Data Set Ready (DSR) signal.
