User Manual for the NETGEAR 7300 Series Layer 3 Managed Switch Software users snmpv3 authentication This command specifies the authentication protocol to be used for the specified login user. The valid authentication protocols are none, md5 or sha. If md5 or sha are specified, the user login password will be used as the snmpv3 authentication password. If the des protocol is specified but a key is not provided, the user will be prompted for the key. If none is specified, a key must not be provided.
