User Manual for the NETGEAR 7300 Series Layer 3 Managed Switch Software show ip route entry This command displays detailed information about the route to a specific network to be displayed. The value for is a valid IP address. Format show ip route entry Mode Network Address Privileged EXEC and User EXEC Is a valid network address identifying the network on the specified interface. Subnet Mask Is a mask of the network and host portion of the IP address for the attached network. Protocol Next Hop Interface Tells which protocol added the specified route. The possibilities are: local, static, OSPF or RIP. The outgoing router interface to use when forwarding traffic to the next destination. Next Hop IP Address The outgoing router IP address to use when forwarding traffic to the next router (if any) in the path toward the destination. Metric The metric value that is used for this route entry. show ip route preferences This command displays detailed information about the route preferences. Route preferences are used in determining the best route. Lower router preference values are preferred over higher router preference values. Format show ip route preferences Mode Privileged EXEC and User EXEC Local Static This field displays the local route preference value. This field displays the static route preference value.
