Metering Ex: When metering 2 points (pressing the AEL button twice) The aperture and shutter speed as calculated from the average values obtained by metering at 2 points. These values are recalculated every time another metering point is added. The average for the 2 metering points. The average is always shown at the center of the bar. The reading when the AEL button was pressed. Z indicates the number of times you have pressed 5 the button. Z indicates the difference between the metered and average readings. Indicates how much the present exposure you are metering differs from the average exposure value. The present exposure can be fixed by pressing the shutter button halfway. (The present exposure is not added to the average value unless you press the AEL button.) When Z moves more than ±3 from the center of the bar (the average reading), red X Y appear. TIPS To save the locked multi-metering exposure after shooting (AE memory) → After metering in Step 2, hold down the AEL button for more than 1 second. C appears. While C is displayed, the exposure is saved. Press the AEL button again to cancel the AE memory. TIPS
To save the locked multi-metering exposure after shooting (AE
memory)
After metering in Step 2, hold down the AEL button for more than
1 second.
C
appears. While
C
is displayed, the exposure is
saved. Press the AEL button again to cancel the AE memory.
The multi-metering exposure is canceled.
If you operate any of the buttons or the mode dial after metering in
