DVD740VR 4/12/02 12:09 PM Page 51 Specific Track Playback 51 AUDIO CD There are three ways to begin playback on an Audio CD at a specific Track: Use the Number buttons, the SEARCH MODE/TIME SEARCH button, or CHANNEL/SKIP j/i (p/o). q Before you begin, place the DVD/VCR in DVD mode. Press OUTPUT SELECT so the red DVD light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR. A A-C MARKER POWER SETUP AUDIO SUBTITLE ANGLE Using the Number Buttons to Select a Track During playback or when playback is stopped, press DVD, then press the Number buttons to enter the desired Track number. Playback will start at the selected Track. For single-digit Tracks (1-9), press a single Number button. For Tracks 10 and above, press the +10 button so the Search display appears on the TV screen. Press the Number button of the first digit, then press the Number button of the second digit. For example, to play Track 26, press +10, then Number 2, then Number 6. If you enter a Track number that is not available on the Disc, playback will not begin (or the current Track will continue to play). The space beside TR will clear automatically in the Search display. The Track number will appear briefly on the DVD/VCR display panel. During playback, press CHANNEL/SKIP H (p) to return to the beginning of the current Track or to go to previous Tracks. The Track number will appear briefly on the DVD/VCR display panel. Helpful Hints • You cannot use CHANNEL/SKIP i (o) to go from the last Track on the disc to the first Track. • If you press CHANNEL/SKIP j/i (p/o) when playback is paused, the selected Track will begin playing automatically.

Before you begin, place the DVD/VCR in DVD mode.
Press OUTPUT SELECT so the red DVD light appears on the
front of the DVD/VCR.

Using the Number Buttons to Select a Track
During playback or when playback is stopped, press DVD,
then press the Number buttons to enter the desired Track
number.
Playback will start at the selected Track.
For single-digit Tracks (1-9), press a single Number button.
For Tracks 10 and above, press the +10 button so the Search display
appears on the TV screen. Press the Number button of the first
digit, then press the Number button of the second digit.
For example, to play Track 26, press +10, then Number 2, then
Number 6.
If you enter a Track number that is not available on the Disc, play-
back will not begin (or the current Track will continue to play). The
space beside TR will clear automatically in the Search display.

Press DVD, then press SEARCH MODE/TIME SEARCH
