4. Changing the Interactive Whiteboard Settings Changing General Settings You can configure the following settings on the General Settings screen under RICOH Interactive Whiteboard Lt for Open Controller Settings: Item Whiteboard Location Name Image Quality on Remote Whiteboard Update Software on Startup Use Proxy Settings Use Windows Internet Options Settings Description Initial value Specifies the name of the location where the whiteboard is installed. Up to 255 characters can be used for a location name. To configure the settings, use the keyboard of the computer or the software keyboard in Windows. Not selected Specifies the image quality (five levels) of the pages sent from participating devices when hosting a remote whiteboard session. Scanned pages or images input on the machine are always displayed in the highest quality. Scanned pages or images input on other devices are displayed as specified on the host whiteboard. Standard Image Quality Specifies whether or not to automatically update the system over the network when the whiteboard starts. When this check box is selected, a confirmation message to update the system appears every time the whiteboard starts. Touching [Connection Test] allows you to check whether it is possible to connect to the update server. Selected Specifies whether or not to use the proxy to update the system over the network when the whiteboard starts. Not selected Specifies whether or not to use the Internet options of Windows to configure the proxy server when [Use Proxy Settings] is selected. Selected 68
