If a Message is Displayed during Operation Message Causes Solutions Cannot connect to the server to update the software. The following are the possible causes. - The network settings are incorrect - The proxy address or the port setting is incorrect - Cannot connect to the Internet While it was attempted to access the update server in the background to download the software update file, the connection failed due to one or more of the following: • The network settings in Windows are incorrect. • The proxy settings in RICOH Interactive Whiteboard Lt for Open Controller Settings are incorrect. • The proxy cannot connect to the Internet. Try the following procedures to check the connection: • Configure the network settings in Windows, or check the settings and make necessary corrections. • To check the proxy settings, start RICOH Interactive Whiteboard Lt for Open Controller Settings and make necessary corrections. For details about the proxy settings, see page 68 "Changing General Settings". • If it is likely that your Internet connection provider or the proxy caused the problem, contact the help desk or network administrator. Cannot Perform Proxy Authentication Check the proxy user name and password. While it was attempted to access the update server, the connection failed due to the incorrect settings of the proxy authentication in RICOH Interactive Whiteboard Lt for Open Controller Settings. To check the proxy settings, start RICOH Interactive Whiteboard Lt for Open Controller Settings, make necessary corrections, and then try again. For details about the proxy settings, see page 68 "Changing General Settings". The license code is incorrect. Check the license code and re-enter. The license code you entered is Enter the correct license code. incorrect. Other Error Messages Message Cannot confirm the latest version Check the network status. Causes The machine is not connected to the network. Solutions • Check the network settings. • Make sure the network cable is properly connected. 91
