When adding the LDAP users to SyncThru, if the user already exists in the SyncThru, this warning appears The group name you entered has some invalid characters You have entered a group name that already exists in the database. SOLUTION Please check to see if the same login ID is already in the system. Change the ID and try again. Check whether the user already exists in SyncThru. If so, change the selection and add users again Change the group name and try again. The group name cannot be a null value or an empty space. Change the group name and try again. When the user(s) you want to delete is assigned to Job Accounting enabled device(s), you cannot delete the user(s). When the user group you want to delete is assigned to Job Accounting enabled device(s). You cannot delete the user group. The requested operation cannot be applied to the selected user as the user does not exist in SyncThru. The user may have been removed from the system by other SyncThru users. The User you are trying to modify is a LDAP user. LDAP users cannot be modified. The requested operation cannot be applied to the selected group, as the user does not exists in SyncThru. The group may have been removed from the system by other SyncThru users. Please make sure that the selected user(s) is not assigned to any device. If you really want to delete the user(s), you need to change the Job Accounting settings for the users. First, you need to check the user(s) using the device(s). Then remove the user(s) from the device(s) (Make sure that the removed users cannot use the device anymore). Now you can delete the user(s) from the system (See "Deleting users" on page 16). Please make sure that the selected user group is not assigned to any device. If you really want to delete the user group, you need to change the Job Accounting settings for the user group. First , you need to check the device(s) using the group. Then remove the group from the device(s) (Make sure that the removed group cannot use the device anymore). Now you can delete the group from the system (See "Deleting a user group" on page 17). Reload the page and try the operation again. In case of LDAP users, SyncThru™ Admin 5 Job Accounting Plug-in gets the user information from the LDAP server. This means that you cannot modify the LDAP user information.
