Configuring DHCP Service Configuration Examples 5.5 Example for DHCP L2 Relay 5.5.1 Network Requirements As the following figure shows, two groups of computers are connected to Switch A, and Switch A is connected to the DHCP server. All devices on the network are in the default VLAN 1. All computers get dynamic IP addresses from the DHCP server. For management convenience, the administrator wants to allocate separate address spaces for the two groups of computers. The overview of the configurations are as follows: 1) Configuring Switch A a. Enable DHCP L2 Relay globally and on VLAN 1. b. Configure Option 82 on ports 1/0/1 and 1/0/2.
