USING MULTI-ZONE CONFIGURATION Controlling Zone 2 You can select and control Zone 2 by using the control buttons on the front panel or on the remote control. The available operations are listed as follows: • Selecting the input source of Zone 2 • Tuning into FM or AM when "TUNER" is selected as the input source of Zone 2 (see page 52) • Tuning into XM Satellite Radio when "XM" is selected as the input source of Zone 2 (see page 59) (U.S.A. model only) • Enjoying music stored on your iPod stationed in a YAMAHA iPod universal dock (such as YDS-10 sold separately) connected to the DOCK terminal of this unit when "V-AUX" is selected as the input source (see page 108) • Adjusting the volume level of the Zone 2 speakers connected directly to the PRESENCE/ZONE2 speaker terminals of this unit when "ZONE2 AMP" in "OPTION MENU" is set to "INT" (see page 96) Note You must complete each step while the ZONE2 indicator is flashing in the front panel display. Otherwise, the Zone 2 mode is automatically canceled and this unit returns to the normal operation mode. In this case, repeat the Zone 2 selection procedure. ■ Controlling Zone 2 with the front panel 1 Press ZONE 2 ON/OFF to turn on Zone 2. ZONE 2 ON/OFF y ZONE 2 ON/OFF is operational only when MASTER ON/ OFF on the front panel is pressed inward to the ON position. Once MASTER ON/OFF on the front panel is pressed inward to the ON position, you can also press POWER or STANDBY on the remote control to turn on the main zone and Zone 2 or set them to the standby mode. 2 Press ZONE CONTROL to control Zone 2. The ZONE2 indicator flashes in the front panel display for approximately 5 seconds. ZONE CONTROL ZONE2 Flashes 3 Rotate the INPUT selector to select the desired input source while the ZONE2 indicator is flashing in the front panel display. INPUT • Select "TUNER" as the input source to use the TUNER features in Zone 2. For details about the TUNER operations, see "FM/AM TUNING" on page 52. • Select "XM" as the input source to use the XM Satellite Radio features in Zone 2. For details about the XM Satellite Radio operations, see "XM® SATELLITE RADIO TUNING" on page 59. • Select "V-AUX" as the input source to use iPod features in Zone 2. For details about the iPod operations, see "USING iPod®" on page 108. y To adjust the volume level of Zone 2, set "ZONE2 AMP" in "OPTION MENU" to "INT" (see page 96) and then rotate VOLUME. 4 Press ZONE 2 ON/OFF to set Zone 2 to the standby mode. You can select and control Zone 2 by using the control
buttons on the front panel or on the remote control. The
available operations are listed as follows:

Controlling Zone 2 with the front panel

Press ZONE 2 ON/OFF to turn on Zone 2.

ZONE 2 ON/OFF is operational only when MASTER ON/

Rotate the INPUT selector to select the
