Notes • In the standby mode, this unit consumes a small amount of power in order to receive infrared signals from the remote control. • When you turn on this unit, there will be a 4 to 5-second delay before this unit can reproduce sound. • This button is operational only when MASTER ON/OFF is pressed inward to the ON position. 3 OPTIMIZER MIC jack Use to connect and input audio signals from the supplied optimizer microphone in the "AUTO SETUP" procedure (see page 32). 4 Remote control sensor Receives signals from the remote control (see page 8). (U.S.A. model) J K LM N 5 Front panel display Shows information about the operational status of this unit (see page 9). 6 A/B/C/D/E, NEXT • Selects one of the 5 preset station groups (A to E) when "TUNER" is selected as the input source (see page 52). • Selects the speaker channel whose output level you want to adjust when "TUNER" is not selected as the input source (see page 42). 7 PRESET/TUNING/CH l / h, LEVEL +/- • Selects one of the 8 preset station numbers (1 to 8) when "TUNER" is selected as the input source. The colon (:) is displayed in the front panel display (see page 52). • Selects the tuning frequency when "TUNER" is selected as the input source. The colon (:) is not displayed in the front panel display (see page 52). • Adjusts the level of the speaker channel selected using NEXT when "TUNER" is not selected as the input source (see page 42). 4

MASTER ON/OFF
Turns on or off this unit (see page 31).

MAIN ZONE ON/OFF
Turns on the main zone or sets it to the standby mode
(see page 31).
In the standby mode, this unit consumes a small amount of
power in order to receive infrared signals from the remote
control.
