Setting up Polled Transmit (Not available for color faxes) Polled Transmit is when you set up your machine to wait with a paper original so another fax machine can call and retrieve it. 1 If it is not illuminated in green, press (Fax). 2 Load your original. (See Load originals on page 2-1.) 3 Press Menu/Set, 2, 2, 6. 4 Press or to choose On 6.Polled TX (or Off). Press Menu/Set. 5 Press 1 to leave the original waiting in the ADF. 1.Doc 2.Memory -OR- Press 2 to scan the original into memory. 6 Press 1 if you want to choose more settings and the LCD will return to the Setup Send menu. -OR- Press 2 if you have finished choosing settings, and go to Step 7. 7 Press Black Start. The machine starts scanning the document. 8 If you place the original in the ADF, wait for the fax to be polled. If you press 1 in Step 5, the original remains in the ADF until your machine is polled. If you must use your machine before the polled transmit occurs, you must first cancel this job. If you press 2 in Step 5, the document will be stored and can be retrieved from any other fax machine until you delete the fax in memory by using the Canceling a Job menu setting.
