Making the Most of the Printer Driver The BJ Backgrounder makes it possible to perform the following tasks: • You can cancel a print job. When you wish to cancel printing in mid-job, click the Cancel button. When a confirmation message appears, click the OK button. • You can stop the print process of the printer driver temporarily. When you wish to stop the print process of the printer driver temporarily for some reason, click the Pause button. While the print job is paused, the Pause button changes to the Resume button. Click the Resume button to start printing again. I Using the BJ Status Monitor The BJ Status Monitor (which is found in the Maintenance tab) is a utility program that allows you to check the status of the printer. If an error occurs for some reason, the BJ Status Monitor displays the cause of the error and a solution. In addition, the BJ Status Monitor detects the remaining ink of the BJ cartridge and displays a warning message when the ink is low. About the operating environment The following are the minimum requirements to run the BJ Status monitor. When using the parallel interface only: • Check that your computer supports bi-directional communications. • Check that your printer cable (interface cable) supports bi-directional communications.
